PDR Tools Help Repair Minor Dents and Dings

Shallow dents usually from hail, or accidently backing up to a lamp post, is not that big of a deal. Although it doesn’t affect more than the outermost layer of the car, it does, however, affect your car aesthetically.

If the impact was strong enough that the paint on the impact zone had been chipped or cracked, paint repairs, which are intricate and considerably expensive, should be done immediately, else the exposed metal under the paint suffer more damage.

Since modern automotive paints are formulated to be extremely hard and resilient, paintless dent removal is a cheaper and more convenient alternative.

Paintlessdent removal, sometimes referred to as paintless dent repair, is a process for removing minor dents and creases from the body of a vehicle.

Common methods use special tools that include metal rods and body picks. These are used to push the dents out from the underside of the body panel. It can also be used on both steel and aluminium automotive panels.

Paintless dent removal is significantly cheaper and takes up less time compared to full body works from automotive shops. With the right PDR tools, almost any dents and creases without paint damage can be repaired.
